Position: TPWD - Intern I - II - III (Natural Resources Management Intern - Mineral Wells)
TPWD MISSION

To manage and conserve the natural and cultural resources of Texas and to provide hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation opportunities for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of the State Parks Fire and Habitat Coordinator, this internship is an opportunity designed for students to obtain relevant work experience to be competitive for future positions in natural resource conservation, management and stewardship. Duties may include: fieldwork in habitat restoration and vegetation management projects, herbicide application, baseline flora and fauna surveys; forest inventory sampling; fuel load assessment and vegetation characteristics for prescribed fire planning.
