The primary objective is to support patient recovery and well‑being by administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.

This role requires keen attention to detail, strong clinical skills, and the ability to respond promptly to changes in patient conditions. The LVN will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care plans are executed effectively. Ultimately, this position contributes significantly to positive patient outcomes and the smooth operation of the medical‑surgical unit.

  • Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding care plans and recovery processes.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients by adhering to infection control and safety procedures.
Skills

The required skills enable the LVN to perform clinical tasks such as medication administration, patient monitoring, and documentation with precision and care. Strong observational skills are essential for identifying changes in patient conditions and responding appropriately. Communication skills facilitate effective collaboration with healthcare team members and provide clear education and support to patients and families. Preferred skills, such as proficiency with electronic health records and specialized certifications, enhance efficiency and the quality of care delivered.
