Position: Truck Driver - Local Class A Floater - Penske Logistics

Overview

Immediate Opportunities:
Full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers

Average $83,000 annually
• Local, home daily
• Forklift and flatbed experience preferred
• Floater covering different routes

You will drive
  • Late model Penske Truck Leasing trucks
  • Best-in-class specs designed for comfort
  • Equipped with inward and outward facing in-cab cameras to support safety
  • XM Satellite radio subscription
What you will do
  • Deliver construction materials to customer locations
  • Use Moffett forklift to unload trailer
  • Average 10 to 35 stops per week
  • Maintain professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers
  • Home daily
Schedule
  • Monday through Friday and Saturdays as needed
  • Dispatch time ranges between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m.
  • Dispatch subject to change and will be sent out 1 day before

Qualifications
  • Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
  • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
  • English language proficiency is required to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
  • Work the required schedule, at the specific location, complete Penske employment application, background check (including past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required
  • Position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Must accept responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others.

  • Vision and hearing abilities; close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg)
  • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area
