Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

Robert Half is partnering with a Minneapolis, Minnesota based client in search of a contract Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team for 3-4 months to assist them with the cleanup of a backlog of invoices. This is a hybrid role, working 2-3 days onsite and the remainder from home, assisting them with a variety of administrative accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have prior experience using a small to mid-sized company accounting software such as Quick Books, Sage 50 or Net Suite, but the client is flexible Duties for this position include:

- Assist the Corporate Accountant with the review and entry of a backlog of invoices

- Process both PO and non-PO invoices, matching them to the packing slip and purchase order to verify quantity and amount prior to approving for payment

- Cut physical checks and process ACH payments to vendors

- Scan invoices to PDF and save on the network

- File various supporting documents

- Other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned

Requirements

2+ years of prior accounts payable invoice processing experience

Associates Degree in Accounting preferred, but not required

Prior experience with Quick Books, Sage 50, Net Suite or another comparable product preferred

Demonstrated proficiency with data entry

Excellent organizational skills
