Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting & Finance

SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking an Accountant that will perform various accounting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely completion of work within one or more accounting functions, such as accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger.

• Prepare and reconcile payroll
• Create client invoices and manage full-cycle accounting for equipment rentals
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies on invoices or reports
• Interface with vendors, clients, and other accountants to resolve issues effectively
• Provide recommendations for cost-effective methods
• Foster and build relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• All other duties as assigned

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Minimum of two years of related experience
• Detail orientation and organizational skills to manage multiple projects
• Active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse feedback
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP accounting applications
• Preferred:
  Experience with Oracle and construction industry knowledge

(for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week)

The base compensation range for this role is the base pay range for this job is $72,900 - $109,400. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
