Our client is an organization in Minneapolis area looking for a Senior Accountant. This company is looking for someone with 4+ years of related experience, budgeting experience, and is motivated! This position is hybrid.
The salary range for this position is $85k-98k.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and actively participate in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Analyze financial statements and investigate variances
- Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reports
- Support audit activities, including preparation of schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
- Monitor and improve internal controls and accounting processes
- Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards
- Partner with cross-functional teams (AP, AR, FP&A, Operations, HR) to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes as needed
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field
- 4+ years of related experience
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
