Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager
The Staff Accountant serves as a team leader in the finance department, ensuring the department maintains accurate, timely financial records for the organization.
Essential Functions- Reviews records of accounts to ensure accuracy
- Preparing and filing sales tax and PPT returns
- Administrative duties such as filing, transcription, maintaining schedules, and telephone support
- Reviewing and maintaining general ledger accounts
- Analyzing and reconciling bank statements
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Concur expense report management and processing
- Process Journal entries and account reconciliations at month-end
No formal supervisory role.
Education and Experience Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a degree in Business with equivalent accounting experience
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with accounting software, Microsoft Business Central, is desired
- Experience with sales tax software, including Avalara, Concur, and One Source, is desired.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite with Advanced Excel Skills necessary and Jet reporting skills desired
- Excellent Problem-Solving, Analytical, Time Management, and Leadership Skills
- Proficiency in technical applications, including MS Office Suite
- Demonstrated Conduct that is in Alignment with Our Core Values

Position requires a high degree of concentration to manage frequent interruptions while meeting strict deadlines. This position is largely a sedentary role, requiring the use of typical office equipment such as computers, printers, copiers, and scanners.

CompensationThe pay range listed is the base pay range that Satellite Shelters, Inc/Satellite Industries, Inc. reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location, and end client requirements).
