Senior Staff Accountant

Location: Minneapolis, MN (This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence in MN daily – only local residents of Minnesota and Western Wisconsin will be eligible for consideration)

Compensation: $38-$45/hr

We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant for an assignment to support the accounting team during a leave. This role will focus heavily on general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities within a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate brings strong GAAP knowledge, strong ERP experience, and the ability to independently manage close responsibilities.

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and complete month-end close activities
• Analyze general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate variances
• Assist with preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements
• Ensure accurate recording of assigned general ledger accounts
• Apply GAAP standards and proper accounting treatment to business transactions
• Support audit and compliance reporting requirements
• Generate reporting related to close activities and GL analysis

• 3–5+ years of experience as a Staff/Senior Accountant
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience
• Healthcare or hospital industry experience preferred
• Proficiency in large ERP systems and Excel
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment
