Billing Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Billing Specialist to join our team in Bloomington, Minnesota. This is a long-term contract position with an opportunity to contribute to a growing organization that simplifies healthcare for employers, brokers, providers, and members. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a proactive attitude, and attention to detail while supporting revenue cycle processes and client billing operations.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and distribute monthly invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Address client inquiries regarding billing issues and provide resolution with exceptional customer service.

- Manually process and reformat billing data using tools such as Access and Excel to ensure usability and accuracy.

- Apply customer payments in the accounting system and maintain accurate records of transactions.

- Manage third-party vendor payments and calculate amounts manually based on invoice data.

- Track billing activities using Excel and maintain detailed records for reporting purposes.

- Collaborate with internal teams to improve billing processes and ensure efficiency.

- Handle vendor payments and ensure compliance with established procedures.

- Perform data cleansing tasks to maintain accurate invoice information for all clients.

- Take on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goals. Requirements

- Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

- Experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.

- Proficiency in Net Suite and familiarity with medical billing systems is highly preferred.

- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data tracking, analysis, and reporting.

- Previous experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.

- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Detail-oriented mindset and strong organizational skills to ensure accuracy in billing operations.
