Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team for the upcoming tax season on a contract basis. Based in Bloomington, Minnesota, this role is tailored for professionals who excel in managing tax processes efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely preparation of individual tax returns while maintaining high standards of professionalism and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review individual tax returns with precision and adherence to compliance standards.

- Handle business tax filings, bookkeeping adjustments, and 1099 documentation as needed.

- Organize and manage paper-based records efficiently to maintain well-documented files.

- Utilize Lacerte tax software to streamline tax preparation processes.

- Communicate effectively with clients and team members, providing updates and addressing inquiries.

- Ensure all tax-related tasks are completed with accuracy and within designated deadlines.

- Work onsite to collaborate directly with the team and clients as needed.

- Maintain professionalism and energy throughout the demanding tax season.

- Uphold integrity and reliability in all aspects of tax preparation and client communication. Requirements - Proven experience in tax preparation, particularly for individual tax returns.

- Strong proficiency with Lacerte tax software.

- Familiarity with tax compliance regulations and processes.

- Ability to efficiently manage and organize large volumes of documentation.

- Excellent communication skills for client and team interactions.

- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.

- Availability to work onsite in Bloomington, Minnesota.

- Demonstrated reliability and professionalism in previous tax preparation roles.
