Position: Accounting Senior (CAAS - Nonprofit Industry)

Senior Accountant – CAAS (Nonprofit Industry) group, Minneapolis, MN.

Responsibilities
  • Develop an understanding of each client’s business/organization operations.
  • Competently manage multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Lead coordination and processing of accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and posting/recording payroll transactions.
  • Coordinate and review account reconciliations (prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals, investments, debt, industry specific).
  • Prepare, understand, and review financial statements (basic to complex). Review general ledger, cash flow, allocations, etc.
  • Create process and procedure documentation and maintain backup.
  • Complete sales tax returns and Form 1099s; prepare audit work papers, tax return work papers, and other client-requested items.
  • Oversee workflow and quality of work of Associates and Analysts; supervise and ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Assist with special projects such as internal audit, due diligence, system selection, and other consultative projects.
Qualifications
  • 2 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Compensation

Wage range: $65,100 – $113,000 (Minnesota).
