Advent Talent Group is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to support a mission-driven organization by ensuring accurate and timely processing of incoming funds in Minneapolis, MN. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting donor and partner relationships, and helping drive strong collection outcomes through thoughtful, service-focused communication.

Accounts Receivable Processing
- Record and process incoming payments (ACH, wire, checks, credit cards) with a high degree of accuracy
- Apply payments to accounts within a CRM system, ensuring timely and correct allocation
- Partner cross-functionally to confirm payment details and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized documentation for audit and compliance purposes
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Collections & Account Support
- Generate and distribute recurring pledge reminders on a consistent schedule
- Monitor account activity and follow up on outstanding balances using a tactful, donor-sensitive approach
- Respond to payment-related inquiries, ensuring a high level of service to both internal and external stakeholders
- Track aging balances and elevate risks as needed
- Support year-end reconciliation processes, including account reviews and write-offs
- Associate’s degree with 1–2 years of relevant experience OR 3+ years of related experience in accounts receivable or similar work
- Knowledge of basic accounting and reconciliation principles
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail (including 10-key proficiency)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with CRM or financial systems preferred
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
