Accountant, Financial Reporting, Senior Accountant

Our client is an organization in the Minneapolis area that’s looking for a Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of experience, organized, and who has excellent interpersonal skills. The salary for this position is $75k - $90k.

The Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Review & reconcile monthly financial statements.
• Prepare audit and tax work papers, including income estimates, quarterly tax estimates, and support for tax filings and payments.
• Manage treasury activities, including cash reconciliations, payments, transfers, capital calls, distributions, etc.
• Process accounts payable runs and monitor cash transactions to ensure accurate and timely recording.
• Maintain legal, tax, and administrative records, ensuring documentation is current and organized.
• Identify and implement process improvements while maintaining strong internal controls and confidentiality.

The Financial Accountant will possess the following:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent from an accredited college or university; CPA and/or public accounting experience preferred.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• General ledger and/or fund accounting experience a plus, with experience in MRI or Sage Intacct preferred.
• Strong attention-to-detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products with strong experience in Excel.
