About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Accountant – Grants & Organizational Advancement to join our Accounting & Finance team.
In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of grant accounting while supporting financial operations tied to fundraising and organizational advancement. You will partner across teams to ensure compliance, accuracy, and transparency across all funding sources.

What You’ll Do Grants & Awards Accounting- Manage the full lifecycle of grant accounting, including billing, revenue recognition, and compliance
- Prepare and submit invoices to government agencies and funders with supporting documentation
- Monitor grant-related accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
- Partner with program teams to ensure accurate financial reporting aligned with grant requirements
- Review expenses for allowability and compliance with grant guidelines
- Support grant audits and maintain audit-ready documentation
- Collaborate with advancement teams on revenue tracking and reporting
- Manage net assets and support revenue recognition processes
- Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
- Perform account reconciliations and analyze variances
- Support timely month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare audit schedules and work papers
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and funding requirements
- Process bank deposits and maintain accurate financial records
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and special projects
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1+ year of accounting experience
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with accounting systems and financial reporting tools
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Experience with grant, nonprofit, or fund accounting
- Familiarity with donor or fundraising systems
- Experience supporting audits
- Make a meaningful impact through mission-driven work
- Gain specialized experience in grant and nonprofit accounting
- Work with a collaborative and values-driven team
- Build expertise in compliance, audits, and complex funding structures
- Primarily computer-based work
