Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid Staff Accountant role based in the Savage, Minnesota. The Staff Accountant will perform day-to-day general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing procedures. This role will assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, expense tracking, and bank reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate financial records. The Staff Accountant will help prepare financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules, and will contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

The role will also support internal controls, assist with audits, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to answer financial questions and improve accounting processes.

Qualifications
  • Strong general accounting skills, including proficiency with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management, including invoice processing and bank reconciliations.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfort working with accounting software (Sage/Quickbooks) and ERP systems, as well as intermediate-level skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with internal controls, audit support, and regulatory or compliance-related requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with finance team members and cross‑functional partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience in a non‑profit, association, or financial services environment is beneficial but not required.
