Senior Accountant

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Senior Accountant to join our Full-Time Engagement Professionals (FTEP) team. In this role, the professional is a full-time employee of our company and is deployed on client engagements to support critical projects, interim staffing needs, and strategic accounting initiatives. FTEP professionals provide clients with continuity, reliable expertise, and flexible support across a variety of environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Support audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor requests
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
• Review balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Support process improvements and help streamline accounting operations
• Handle fixed assets, accruals, prepaid expenses, and intercompany transactions
• Partner with client stakeholders and internal teams to deliver high-quality accounting support
• Adapt quickly to new client environments, systems, and project requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• CPA or CPA track preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in changing environments
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Preferred Experience:

• Public accounting and/or multi-industry experience
• Exposure to ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle Net Suite, Microsoft D365, Quick Books, or Workday.
• Experience with process improvement, internal controls, and special projects
