Job Summary

The District Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting business leadership through analysis and insight. This role leads accounting processes in a fast‑paced environment and may supervise accounting staff while partnering cross‑functionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Support the month‑end and year‑end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review financial statements and reports to ensure compliance.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop accounting staff; assign workloads and review work for accuracy.
  • Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management to support decision‑making.
  • Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, systems, and controls.
  • Collaborate with branch leadership and corporate finance as needed.
  • Manage cash room and coordinate banking/armored car services.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting or finance, with management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Technical Skills
  • Strong proficiency in SAP.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial analysis).
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
