Accounting Assistant – Part-time/Contract – 100% Onsite in Downtown Minneapolis Do you have hands-on Accounts Payable experience in a modern accounting environment? Are you comfortable using Sage Intacct and Excel to keep payables accurate and on schedule?
This part-time Accounts Payable role supports a small, agile finance team within a mission-driven organization. The position focuses on managing AP processes that have recently been modernized, including automated invoice workflows and vendor communications.
The right person will be able to step in quickly, work independently, and maintain accuracy in a fast-moving environment through the end of summer.
JOB DETAILS :$25–30/hour based on experience
Contract role through August Part-time, approximately 20–25 hours per week Onsite position in the Twin Cities metro area Flexible schedule (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday preferred but not required)
Start ASAP – fit and experience are the priority KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable using Sage Intacct and automated AP tools
Review, code, and process invoices while ensuring proper account alignment
Communicate with vendors and handle AP inquiries professionally
Monitor AP aging and ensure timely weekly payments, including autopay items
Maintain prepaid and accrual schedules using Excel Assist with monthly close tasks, including reviewing bank activity and posting entries
Support a lean finance team focused on efficiency and continuous improvement
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Prior Accounts Payable experience in a professional accounting environment
Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct (required)
Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formatting, and basic data management (Must successfully complete an Excel skills assessment as part of the process)
Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently
Ability to step in with minimal training and keep processes moving
Accounting degree or coursework preferred; recent graduates with applicable software experience encouraged to apply APPLY NOW!
