Accounts Payable Clerk

Our client is a company in the Wright County, MN area that is looking for an AP Clerk to join their team. This company is seeking someone with 2+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office tools, who is task-oriented and has strong communication skills.

The AP Clerk will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Process high volumes of vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation, ensuring proper approvals are obtained.
• Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
• Maintain vendor files, including W-9 forms, banking information, and payment terms.
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoice status, payment details, and account discrepancies.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances.
• Assist with month-end close by preparing AP reconciliations and accruals as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Support annual audits by providing requested AP documentation.
• Monitor aging reports and identify opportunities to take advantage of vendor discounts.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives within the accounting department.
