Accounting Specialist
The Accounting Specialist plays a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations in an on-site office environment in Mounds View, MN. This position focuses on invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping, while also providing administrative and operational support to the office. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting, contributing to accurate financial records and smooth financial processes.
In office 9 to 5 schedule.
- Generate and process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable, including tracking payments and supporting collection activities.
- Assist with accounts payable functions, including reviewing invoices, coding expenses, and processing payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies in a thorough and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation to support financial reporting and audits.
- Support month-end and year-end accounting activities as needed, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Perform data entry and other accounting-related administrative tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
- Assist with general office administration, including filing, document management, and operational support tasks.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations.
- Provide additional accounting and administrative support as assigned to meet business needs.
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting functions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in an on-site office environment.
- Experience with data entry and bookkeeping.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience using Coupa is preferred.
- Comfort working across two business units and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated reliability and consistency in maintaining accurate financial records.
- Interest in long-term growth within a stable, low-turnover team environment.
This is a Contract position based out of Brooklyn Park, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
