Dynamic Architectural and Engineering firm in downtown Minneapolis seeks a highly motivated, professional, and dependable person to provide support for our corporate accounting team. This position is ideal for someone with strong detail oriented, team player, and well organized that is looking for an opportunity to further explore and develop their skills within a corporate business environment since it will flex between a broad range of accounting, payroll, and business compliance.
Responsibilities- Assist in financial month-end close process
- Review designated General Ledger accounts and activity
- Prepare and record monthly journal entries and related account reconciliations
- Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts
- Process accounts payableforcorporate or payroll related expenses
- Investigate reporting discrepancies and communicate issues, effectively and in a timely manner
- Completebi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now Softwareas needed
- Assist with employee benefits administration and enrollment
- Maintaining accurate employee records within the payroll system
- Support day-to-day payroll and accounting functions
- Assist with specialaccounting or finance projects as assigned
- Support internal and external audit requests
- You will work closely with top management on a daily basis
- Have the ability to learn about other areas of business
- Daily mentorship from a mid-sized firm, direct leadership pipeline
- Ability to take on increased responsibility to continue to develop in your career
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3-5 years experience in similar or adjacentwork
- Previous ADP Workforce Now or other HRIS system experience preferred
- Previous Net Suite (ERP) system experience is a plus
- Microsoft Suite experience with expertise in excel spreadsheets
- High level of confidentiality for sensitive information
- Ability to learn and utilize new technology
- Must be extremely accurate and have a highly developed orientation to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
