Position

Summary

The Associate Controller of Property Management serves as the senior finance leader supporting PPL’s Property Management division while overseeing accounting activities for development projects and the organization’s tenant rent collection functions. This key leadership role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting, while providing strategic financial insights that support operational decision-making and long-term growth.

The Associate Controller is responsible for managing the division’s accounting and finance team, overseeing financial reporting and analysis, driving budgeting and forecasting efforts, and ensuring strong internal controls and compliance practices. As a trusted business partner, this individual collaborates closely with Property Management leadership to provide financial guidance, optimize performance, and support organizational objectives.

Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, the Associate Controller plays a critical role in connecting financial strategy with day-to-day property management operations.

What You’ll Do
  • Analyzes, interprets, and communicates financial operating results to provide information and guidance to staff and management
  • Oversees accounting of projects under development and tenant rent collection process for the organization
  • Works closely with property management leadership in the departmental budgeting process
  • Manages the department’s monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting cycles
  • Assists in the compliance and reporting requirements to 3rd party financial obligations related to government contracts, loan agreements and reporting requirements
  • Works closely with the Corporate Controller in the completion of annual financial audits, including leading the audit process for individual properties
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Account Receivable staff and property management accountants/development accountants
What You Bring

Qualifications and Credentials include:

  • Experience working with YARDI or other similar property accounting software
  • Strong understanding of Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC)
  • Very strong financial analysis
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present and communicate ideas and concepts
  • Solid financial management and accounting skills including a full understanding of GAAP
Educational and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CPA or CMA preferred)
  • 8+ years of finance and accounting work experience
  • Understanding of sub-ledger systems and general ledger systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook

Salary/Hours

Full Time/Exempt: $100,000 - $115,000 annually DOQ
