Senior Accountant in Golden Valley, Minnesota

Senior Accountant

Ledgent Finance and Accounting has an immediate need for a Senior Accountant for a Manufacturing partner of ours in the Golden Valley area.

Pay: $45-$55/hr

Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Contract to hire

Fully Onsite, ASAP Start

• Prepare and review month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate account variances
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
• Assist with monthly financial statement preparation and analysis
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Assist with external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements
• Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to improve processes and controls
• Partner with operational leaders to support business initiatives and reporting needs
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies
• Mentor junior accounting staff as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliation processes
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience working with ERP systems such as Net Suite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar
• CPA certification or CPA track preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
