Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support financial operations and office coordination in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This position blends core accounting responsibilities with operational support, making it ideal for someone who can manage daily financial tasks while helping improve internal processes across multiple office locations.

The right candidate will bring strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and post journal entries, maintain accurate general ledger records, and support routine accounting activities across the organization.

- Review financial information to identify variances, interpret trends, and help recommend practical solutions to operational or accounting issues.

- Contribute to initiatives that strengthen workflows, policies, and procedures in alignment with company objectives.

- Coordinate operational projects and provide logistical support for multiple office locations to help ensure consistent day-to-day business functions.

- Assist in developing, updating, and communicating office practices and internal procedures to employees across the company.

- Organize company meetings and events, handling planning details and cross-functional coordination to support successful execution.

- Serve as a reliable point of contact for staff and project managers by sharing corporate information and helping resolve routine questions or concerns.

- Support project-related accounting activities and implementation efforts tied to operational improvements and policy execution. Requirements - Experience preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accuracy in a detail-focused accounting environment.

- Knowledge of project accounting principles and the ability to support financial tracking for operational initiatives.

- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial variances, evaluate trends, and communicate findings clearly.

- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and coordinate several projects at once.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and office locations.

- A proactive, solution-focused approach with strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

- Positive, team-oriented mindset and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced business setting.
