Job Description:
We are partnering with a growing organization in Minneapolis to identify an AP/AR Specialist to support both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. This position is ideal for someone with a well-rounded accounting background who enjoys owning a mix of AP and AR responsibilities and working closely with internal teams and external vendors and customers.
Responsibilities:- Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding and approvals
- Prepare and process vendor payments
- Maintain vendor records and research invoice or payment discrepancies
- Generate customer invoices and assist with billing activities
Apply and post customer payments accurately and timely - Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collection follow-up
- Research and resolve customer account discrepancies
- Assist with AP and AR reconciliations
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
- Utilize Excel to track, analyze, and reconcile accounting data
- Support month-end close and additional accounting projects as needed
- Previous experience supporting both accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the broad
