Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for an organization based in Golden Valley, Minnesota. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage accounting activities independently, maintain accurate financial records, and keep core bookkeeping processes running smoothly. The role requires strong hands-on knowledge of Quick Books along with the ability to oversee payables, receivables, and reconciliations with a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain complete bookkeeping records and oversee daily accounting transactions from initial entry through final reporting.

- Process vendor invoices, prepare payments, and ensure accounts payable activity is recorded accurately and on schedule.

- Manage customer billing, post incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances to support timely accounts receivable collections.

- Reconcile bank accounts and related financial statements regularly to confirm accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.

- Enter, review, and update financial data in Quick Books to keep records current, organized, and audit-ready.

- Monitor account activity, investigate variances, and correct posting issues to preserve the integrity of financial information.

- Assist with periodic financial reporting by preparing summaries and supporting documentation for review. Requirements - Demonstrated experience performing full charge bookkeeping responsibilities in a detail-focused business environment.

- Proficiency with Quick Books and confidence using the system for routine accounting and recordkeeping tasks.

- Practical knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice handling and payment tracking.

- Practical knowledge of accounts receivable functions, including billing, cash application, and collections support.

- Experience completing bank reconciliations accurately and resolving discrepancies efficiently.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage financial records with a high degree of accuracy.

- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a contract-based role.
