Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Golden Valley, Minnesota in a part-time Contract position. This opportunity is ideal for someone with accounting experience who can manage payables and receivables with minimal oversight while keeping daily financial activity organized and accurate. The role offers a flexible schedule of approximately 20 hours per week and is well suited to someone who can step in quickly and maintain continuity during a leave coverage period.

Responsibilities:

- Process incoming invoices and outgoing payments while maintaining accurate accounts payable records.

- Track customer billing activity, apply receipts, and support timely follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable balances.

- Reconcile credit card statements and review transactions to ensure expenses are properly recorded.

- Assign expenses to the correct general ledger accounts using sound bookkeeping judgment.

- Maintain organized financial documentation and support consistent day-to-day accounting operations.

- Work closely with the direct supervisor to provide dependable coverage and keep priorities moving forward with limited guidance.

- Coordinate effectively with the external accounting partner to support broader bookkeeping and reporting needs. Requirements - Prior experience in bookkeeping with a strong foundation in accounts payable and accounts receivable.

- Proficiency with Quick Books and confidence working within accounting systems.

- Ability to complete reconciliations accurately, including credit card and bank-related activity.

- Working knowledge of general ledger coding and basic accounting principles.

- Capacity to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment.

- Experience with JobBOSS is highly preferred.

- Background in a manufacturing setting is helpful, but not required.
