The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to quickly learn existing processes and systems.
JOB DETAILS :
Pay: $25–$30+/hour, based on experience
Temporary assignment:
Approximately 6–8 weeks
Schedule:
20–30 hours per week
Hours:
Flexible, generally during standard business hours, 8:00 am–4:00 pm
Location:
On-site in Downtown Minneapolis, MNStart ASAP!
Key Responsibilities:
Process and manage Accounts Payable (AP) activities, including invoices, payments, and related documentation.
Support Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including recording and tracking receivables.
Manage and reconcile credit card activity, including transaction review and documentation.
Open, sort, and appropriately route incoming mail and other correspondence.
Learn and maintain existing accounting and administrative processes.
Work closely with outgoing staff to facilitate an effective transfer of institutional and procedural knowledge.
Create clear, accurate process documentation and written procedures for recurring accounting and administrative tasks.
Maintain organized records and supporting documentation.
Communicate effectively with staff and leadership regarding accounting and administrative matters.
Perform other related duties as needed to support a smooth transition.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in accounting experience (AR/AP).Nonprofit experience preferred.
Experience working with credit card transactions and accounting systems preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Comfortable learning new systems and documenting processes clearly.
Professional, collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
