Controller, Accounting, Financial Compliance

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations for a growing organization. The Controller will lead the accounting team, ensure accurate financial reporting, manage month-end close processes, and provide strategic financial guidance to support business objectives. This role offers significant visibility with executive leadership and the opportunity to drive process improvements across the finance function.

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial planning activities.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
• Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors.
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Partner with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making and business growth initiatives.
• Mentor, develop, and lead accounting staff while fostering a high-performing team environment.
• Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Previous leadership experience managing accounting teams.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
