In this full‑time, hybrid role, you will support both daily office logistics and key human resources functions, helping executives and staff feel supported, informed, and connected to our mission.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and serving as a vital connector across teams, you will be a key touchpoint for welcoming new staff, coordinating benefits, managing vendor relationships, and keeping our systems humming. This is a high‑visibility role, ideal for someone who prioritizes duties in a friendly manner, is proactive, and enjoys being energized by supporting others.

This position requires being in the Minneapolis office at least 4 days per week to effectively support on‑site needs and serve as a go‑to person for staff and visitors.

Office Operations
  • Lead day‑to‑day office management: supplies, technology, workspace coordination, and facilities
  • Build strong relationships with vendors (IT, building services, telecom, etc.) and oversee contract logistics
  • Plan and support meetings, staff gatherings, and Board events
  • Coordinate travel and scheduling needs for the executive team
  • Maintain organized, accessible systems for office documents and administrative records
Human Resources Support
  • Welcome and onboard new hires—creating a positive first impression
  • Coordinate employee benefits, time off tracking, and policy communications
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with employment regulations
  • Respond to staff questions and provide friendly, confidential HR support
  • Help organize internal trainings, recognition efforts, and engagement initiatives
  • Champion a welcoming, inclusive office culture where all staff feel seen and valued
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, communications, or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in office administration, HR, or nonprofit operations
  • A warm, people‑first approach with strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information with care and professionalism
  • Comfort with technology (e.g., Microsoft Office, Zoom, cloud‑based platforms)
  • Self‑motivation, attention to detail, and a willingness to take initiative
Preferred Attributes
  • Experience working in nonprofit, public service, or mission‑driven environments
  • Familiarity with HR platforms or benefit administration
  • Understanding of inclusive workplace practices and a commitment to equity
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM‑CP, PHR) is a plus, but not required
What We Offer
  • Salary: $55,000–$65,000 (based on skills, experience, and qualifications)
  • Comprehensive benefits package including 403b retirement plan
  • Hybrid work environment with flexibility
  • Meaningful work with a mission‑driven team
  • Opportunities for professional development and advancement
  • A welcoming culture of learning and collaboration
