We are recruiting on behalf of a national law firm seeking an Information Management Specialist for its Minneapolis office. This role supports attorneys, case teams, and administrative staff by ensuring client and firm information is accurately managed and tracked. About the RoleThe Information Management Specialist is responsible for maintaining and tracking firm and client records, handling physical and electronic file management, and supporting office information processes. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Responsibilities- Maintain accurate indexing of onsite files and containers in the firm’s tracking system (iCompli)
- Fulfill requests for containers, barcodes, and physical information transfers
- Oversee and organize assigned information storage areas
- Process incoming and outgoing client files between offices and external parties
- Collect, review, and index physical information for transfers or destruction
- Ensure compliance with firm information management standards
- Provide reports and metrics on information management activities
- Assist with training initiatives and process improvements
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments and offices
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree OR 2–3 years of professional services or administrative experience
- Strong computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of staff
- Team-oriented mindset
- Prior experience in information management or records management
- Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment
- Familiarity with records tracking systems such as iCompli or similar tools
- Salary Range: $45,000 – $55,000 per year
