Office Services Assistant

Baker Tilly is a leading advisory, tax, and assurance firm that serves clients across the United States and major global financial centers, including New York, London, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Boston.

We are seeking a temporary Office Services Assistant to provide general clerical and administrative support for daily office and operational needs. The role begins on August 17, 2026 and ends on October 15, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Sort and deliver incoming and outgoing mail, including accounts receivable bank drops.
  • File, fax, scan, print, and assemble documents.
  • Assist with recording office expenses (federal tax, messenger services, invoices).
  • Coordinate new‑hire set‑up: assign office or cubicle, retrieve name plates, process IT tickets, new‑hire photo, badges, keys, and supplies, and organize/clean outs of exiting team members’ spaces.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of training rooms, conference rooms, and overall office space.
  • Assist in setting up or breaking down tables, furniture, and similar items.
  • Schedule meetings and appointments.
  • Prepare conference rooms for meetings.
  • Order and restock office supplies, stationery, and breakroom items such as coffee, soda, and snacks.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with office machines (fax, high‑speed copier, multi‑line phone, 10‑key calculator) preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and client‑focused skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Detail‑oriented with ability to follow directions and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Compensation

The pay rate for this position ranges from $21.00 to $27.50 per hour, depending on relevant factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
