Student Outreach Assistant

Job Description

• Give presentations (5 to 50 minutes) to student groups, Greek houses, residence halls, and classes to promote study abroad and address common student concerns (60%).
• Attend UMN fairs and events to represent study abroad by tabling or presenting (20%).
• Coordinate and execute large Learning Abroad Center brochure mailings to national institutions and UMN departments (10%).
• Complete basic data entry and assist with office projects (5%).
• Provide research support for program development (5%).

• Study abroad experience
• Strong public speaking skills
• Superb organizational skills and attention to detail
• High level of professionalism
• Comfortable working independently on projects
• Well-developed time management skills
• Willing to travel across campus for events
• Efficient in Microsoft Office and Google Calendar
• Ability to work evenings and some weekends

Pay Range: $15.25 an hour
