Enrollment Specialist

Effective Date: 8/10/26

Hours:

8 hours per day 5 days per week 261 days/12 months

Salary:
Class III starting at $25.33 per hour Wage Placement based on similar experience

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of administrative support, customer service, school office, or related experience.
  • Experience working with computer applications.
  • Demonstrated organizational and communication skills.
  • Preferred Multilingual communication skills.
  • Experience working in a K12 school district.
  • Experience with Infinite Campus or another Student Information System.
  • Experience working with diverse student and family populations

Responsibilities:

  • Enrollment Services:
    Serve as the primary point of contact for families enrolling in Bloomington Public Schools. Submit withdrawals, transfers, and process student record requests. Collect and review enrollment documentation to verify residency, age, immunization records, custody documentation, and other required records. Consult with families when completing enrollment forms and required documentation. Coordinate enrollment with school staff and district departments. Assist with annual enrollment activities, district registration events, and reporting.

    Support compliance with district policies and state reporting requirements.
  • District Reception:
    Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, students, families, and staff entering the district office. Answer and route incoming phone calls. Greet visitors professionally and provide accurate information regarding district services and direction. Maintain a welcoming, organized, and professional reception area. Support multilingual families by utilizing interpreter services as needed
  • Registrar:
    Owner of web based record keeping system - Laserfiche. Archiving records:
    Develop and maintain systems for archiving data, manage data workflow, automation and reporting Customer support:
    Process requests for student records and transcripts, customer communication, resolution of requests Accounting:
    Collect and process fees, maintain accurate accounting and budget
