Join Dorsey as a Senior Executive Assistant supporting its new Office of General Counsel in a high impact position at the center of firm operations. You'll assist in the planning, execution, and documentation of high-level meetings and drive followthrough on strategic initiatives, all with impeccable judgment and discretion. - Assist in the planning, execution, and documentation of high-level board, committee, and audit meetings, including agenda development, content preparation, as well as owning and advancing follow-up actions to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Draft and refine executive communications, presentations, and concise briefings; ensure clear, consistent, professional messaging.
- Manage complex workflows for the Office of General Counsel related to
- Office audits,
- Insurance renewals,
- Business/corporate registrations, and
- Ethics walls.
- Serve as the primary liaison to internal and external stakeholders; build trusted relationships and represent leadership with professionalism and discretion.
- Prepare and process payment requests and expense reimbursements in accordance with firm and insurer policies; maintain accurate records.
- Maintain confidential files and records with high accuracy; handle highly sensitive information with sound judgment and ethical standards.
- Open new attorney-client matters; track strategic initiatives and special projects; manage timelines and deliverables, flag risks, and prepare concise status updates and reports.
- Conduct research and compile decision-support materials to inform executive decision-making and firm initiatives.
- Anticipate executive needs and proactively manage administrative priorities to ensure efficient daily operations.
- Track and report CLEs and maintain attorney licenses for Office of the General Counsel attorneys.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent;
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. - Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information and exercise sound judgment and diplomacy.
- At least 10 years of executive administrative support experience, preferably supporting senior leaders within a professional services or legal environment.
- Proven track record of meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and consistent, reliable execution.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills; ability to draft polished materials and synthesize complex information succinctly.
- Strong client-service orientation, and the ability to collaborate across departments and practice areas.
- Understanding of law firm structures, legal concepts, partner dynamics, client service standards, and the complexities of a global practice.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual collaboration tools; familiarity with document management systems; ability to learn firm-specific systems quickly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with fluid priorities; able to manage competing demands and multiple executives.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with colleagues across the firm.
- Ability to work outside standard business hours as needed.
- Experience arranging complex international travel and providing real-time support.
