Summary
The Administrative Assistant I facilitates the efficient operation of the designated department and/or manager(s) within the designated department by performing a variety of administrative tasks, such as:
- answering telephones
- greeting and directing visitors
- maintaining and scheduling appointment calendars
- handling various forms of mail (i.e. paper, email, overnight express, fax)
- ordering office supplies and furnishings
- arranging for equipment repairs
- maintaining filing systems and/or computerized record keeping systems and/or databases
- completing standardized forms
- handle all confidential correspondence and inter‑department communications
- perform other duties, as assigned
License/Certification/Registration required? No
Education- High school degree or GED, required
- One‑year experience in a general office setting OR completion of specialized training/certification in the administrative professional field, required
- Experience in healthcare/hospital setting, preferred
- Previous experience and demonstrated competency in MS Office Suite applications
- Strong oral and written interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast paced, evolving work environment
- Ability to deal with highly confidential information in a professional manner
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full‑time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part‑time positions will be prorated based on the employee’s scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full‑time standard.
