Driver Payroll & Billing Specialist; ‑Site

We are seeking a Billing Specialist to join our Driver Settlements Team in Golden Valley, MN. The role is 100% on‑site and involves prompt and accurate weekly payment of wages to Company Drivers and Owner Operators, using Excel and other MS Suite applications.

Salary Range: $24–$25/hr (commensurate with experience)
Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8am–4:30pm

You will report directly to the Driver Payroll Supervisor and work closely with payroll and settlement team members to manage weekly driver payroll and owner operator payments.

• Reconciling driver payroll trips and maintaining multiple pay types and schedules.
• Generating weekly reports and exporting to Excel for invoicing.
• Auditing reports and TMW loads to generate customer invoices on assigned accounts; troubleshooting with Operations to verify load charges.
• Ensuring invoicing methods and rates follow customer contracts and requirements.
• Monitoring workflows, correctly indexing delivery documents to loads.
• Monitoring invoice printing and mailing processes.
• Auditing and correcting invoice errors.
• Maintaining rate books and fuel surcharge for customers.
• Assisting Accounts Receivables in investigating and resolving billing disputes.
• Answering calls and emails, providing information and documents to customers.
• Cross‑training on other accounts and providing backup for billing teammates as needed.
• Creating departmental reports and managing daily tally of billing totals and bank deposits.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.
• Reviewing daily audit reports.

• High attention to detail.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office with Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.
• Ability to learn and navigate software platforms, including TMW and Epicor.
• Strong communication skills via phone, in person, or in writing.

• 2+ years of Payroll or AR experience
• Preferred Payroll or AR experience in Transportation
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate’s Degree in Accounting (preferred)

The salary grade for this position ranges from $46,000 to $63,000 per annum. Targeted range: $50,000–$52,000 (commensurate with experience).
