Overview
MB Mentors started in March of 2020. We are a 501(c)3 all-volunteer non-profit organization. We are staffed by a team of experienced business people whose mission is to give back Minnesota's business community. All our volunteers have extensive business experience and expertise in starting, running and growing businesses. Our 40+ team members' goal is to help our clients succeed in starting and operating their business ventures.
Our FREE services include 1-1 business coaching/mentoring, educational webinars, business plan support, and a Women's Collective for and by women in business. Mentoring/Coaching clients are assigned to an advisor based on his/her specific needs and business challenges. Volunteers and clients have the option of meeting in-person, through email, phone, or video conferencing. Meetings occur as frequently as the client request.
There is no cost to our clients for these services. For a small fee we also form and facilitate CEO Round tables. These are monthly 3 hour meetings of 8-12 CEOs of small businesses. You can find our more about MBM on our website (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below)..
Seeking a friendly, organized individual to support a monthly breakfast meeting (Sept-April) in downtown Minneapolis. Responsibilities include coordinating catering, setting up food and materials, greeting attendees, and managing light cleanup. Must be punctual and detail-oriented. You ll play a key role in creating a welcoming environment for approximately 60 participants.
Location 625 South 4th Street, Minneapolis
Time Commitment ~10-15 hours/month
Schedule Second Thursday of each month, February - October 2026, 7:30 - 10:30 AM.
Responsibilities Include- Pre-Event (3-5 days before)
- Order breakfast and additional coffee from established vendors (e.g., Panera, Brueggers, Starbucks) - - Coordinate timely delivery (by 7:15 AM) via Door Dash or directly with the vendor
- - Order blank name tags and markers and bring to event
- Arrive by 7:15 AM to meet delivery driver and escort food to the dining room
- Ensure breakfast is fully set up by 7:45 AM
- Make coffee available for the mid-morning break (either pre-ordered or picked up)
- Set up and staff welcome table with name tags and printed agendas
- Greet and check in participants and speakers
- Begin cleanup of the dining area at 9:30 AM
- Strong organizational skills and punctuality
- Friendly, welcoming demeanor
- Dependability in coordinating catering and event logistics
- Between 10-15 hours/month
