Addison Group is supporting a client in the manufacturing industry seeking an AR Deductions Specialist to join their team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong experience in deductions, trade spend, and high-volume AR environments.
About the RoleThe AR Deductions Specialist will focus on processing, reconciling, and resolving customer deductions, with a strong emphasis on trade spend within the manufacturing space. The right candidate will be able to analyze claims, research discrepancies, and partner with both internal and external stakeholders to drive timely resolution and accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Review, research, and resolve customer deductions and trade spend claims in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate AR records and ensure deductions are properly coded and applied.
- Partner with sales, customer service, and supply chain teams to validate promotional spend and deduction activity.
- Communicate with customers to resolve discrepancies and gather supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end close processes related to AR and deductions.
- Provide reporting and analysis on deduction trends, root causes, and process improvement opportunities.
- 2+ years of accounts receivable experience, with a strong emphasis on deductions and trade spend.
- Prior experience in the manufacturing industry highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of AR processes and general accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
