Job Description

U.S. Bancorp Asset Management (USBAM) is currently seeking an experienced industry professional to support client management and business development efforts for its discretionary Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) investment advisory practice. This role will serve as an OCIO Relationship Manager, responsible for managing institutional client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of USBAM’s OCIO business. USBAM’s OCIO business focuses on serving middle‑market institutional clients and operates on a national scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain relationships with institutional OCIO clients, providing high‑quality service and ongoing support for discretionary investment advisory solutions.
  • Support business development initiatives by promoting USBAM’s OCIO investment management services to prospective clients.
  • Focus on servicing and developing relationships within Public, Taft‑Hartley (Labor Union), Non‑Profit, and Corporate client segments.
  • Conduct investment and review meetings with institutional clients via phone, virtual platforms, or in person, as appropriate.
  • Educate clients and prospects on current market conditions, investment strategies, and opportunities.
  • Help expand the USBAM OCIO business by identifying sales leads, participating in prospect meetings, attending regional and national industry conferences, and supporting proposal development and finalist presentations.
  • Collaborate with and support other USBAM colleagues in sales, marketing, and client service activities, as appropriate.
Basic Qualifications
  • Typically a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in portfolio management, sales, marketing, or relationship management with institutional clients (Business to Business environment).
  • Must be FINRA series 6 or 7, 63 licensed or complete 6 or 7, 63 testing within 90 days of start date.
  • Typically has 10 or more years of experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Capital markets knowledge and experience.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the company’s products and services.
  • Strong relationship management and business development/sales skills.
  • Well‑developed analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in managing client relationships.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in‑office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
