ADay in the Life
In this role, you will partner closely with Category Managers to deliver high‑impact analytics that inform sourcing strategies, strengthen supplier negotiations, and identify cost optimization opportunities. You will translate complex data into clear, actionable insights while advancing sourcing tools, processes, and data governance standards.
Success in this role requires strong analytical capability, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure accurate, consistent data that enables strategic decision‑making.
Responsibilities- Partner with Category Managers to develop and deliver analytics that shape sourcing strategies and drive business outcomes
- Lead cost analytics initiatives that translate should‑cost models, RFQ to identify and quantify potential savings opportunities
- Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that support sourcing decisions and supplier negotiations
- Establish and maintain standardized data definitions, governance practices, and reporting methodologies to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Support strategic sourcing reviews, sourcing events, and cross‑functional forums with real‑time analytics and data‑driven recommendations
- Own and continuously improve sourcing processes, reporting frameworks, and self‑service tools for category teams and stakeholders
- Ensure data integrity through effective management, integration, and validation across multiple systems and platforms
- Partner with Category Managers to govern user‑generated data, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and alignment to defined standards
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 0 years of relevant experience
- Working knowledge of supply management, supply chain, procurement, and quality processes
- Experience reconciling and validating data across multiple systems and sources
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., complex formulas, Power Query, large dataset management)
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and translate findings into actionable business insights
- Experience leveraging AI‑enabled or advanced analytics tools to enhance sourcing and decision‑making processes
- Strong project management skills with the ability to drive cross‑functional initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights to stakeholders at all organizational levels

Benefits& Compensation
Medtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package designed to support employees at every career and life stage. Compensation ranges for U.S. locations (excl. PR) are $66,400.00 – $99,600.00. The position is eligible for a short‑term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
