We are currently hiring a Data & Pricing Analyst to work in our Plymouth, MN location. This position is best suited for an organized, responsible, and detail-oriented individual who is looking for a career within a well-established company.
WHAT DOES THIS POSITION DO?
Recommend and implement pricing strategies needed to achieve company sales and profitability goals.
Produce in-depth analysis on product movement, customer purchases, and vendor cost increases needed to develop appropriate pricing policies.
Develop and maintain full knowledge of all pricing procedures and systems.
Maintain price and cost files for items and customers.
Prepare competitive price comparisons and analysis.
Manage special price agreements with vendors including claim backs, rebates, and promotional programs.
Implement strategic vendor cost increases to ensure long term margin improvement.
Review and maintain all customer specific contract pricing.
Create pricing strategies to capture opportunities, drive margin enhancements, and improve sales.
Consult with leadership, marketing, and other management on product pricing decisions.
Work with management on current pricing strategies to focus on maximizing profitability.
Present pricing models and answer questions related to pricing models to customers.
Execute and manage pricing related special financial projects as apparent or assigned.
Perform analysis of marketing spending to determine effectiveness and help maximize sales.
Provide detailed assessment of vendor marginal analysis in order to better understand the increase or decrease of supplier gross margin.
Achieve continuous improvement by streamlining existing processes and procedures.
Perform all assigned responsibilities according to established safety & security policies, guidelines and legal regulations.
Partner with others to pursue opportunities, solve business problems, and add clarity and understanding.
WHAT IS REQUIRED?
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field is preferred.
Ability to work in Microsoft Office software - primarily Excel.
Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and present complex data in understandable formats to all levels within the organization.
Experience using analytical tools including advanced level skills of Microsoft Excel; ability to mine data using appropriate software tools.
Ability to recognize inconsistencies and errors in numerical data; detail oriented with strong project management and follow through skills.
Ability to communicate with others in a tactful and professional manner.
