Business Development Manager
Cordia is seeking a Business Development Manager identifying, proposing and contracting with new district energy customers, customer success and customer lifecycle management, and customer contract renewals for Cordia downtown Minneapolis system. Reporting to the Director of Customer Success, this role will be tasked with establishing strong, long-term relationships with community stakeholders to include economic development and governmental organizations, community leaders, commercial developers, architects, engineers, contractors, and existing district energy customers.
Key responsibilities include maintaining strong customer relationships, establishing relationships with building owners and operators, developers, engineering and architectural firms, and government agencies to identify early phase project development opportunities, profitably selling energy solutions, offerings, and services to targeted end-use markets, and managing the entire development process from project identification to construction and operation.
Experience required includes a Bachelor's degree in finance, business, real estate, industrial construction or related field and 5 or more years related experience. Skills include strong negotiating skills, superior interpersonal skills, knowledge of governmental, legal, and environmental regulations, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Working conditions include a hybrid work part time in office, normal plant environment, operation of a motor vehicle, working in professional environment, occasional travel to corporate locations and other company plants, and wearing personal protective safety equipment.
Compensation and benefits include an anticipated base salary range of $120,000-$150,000, depending on qualifications and experience, an annual performance-based bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement match, paid time off, and paid holidays.
