The Attorney Talent Development Manager
-Transactions, working in collaboration with and in support of the firm's Transactions strategic initiatives, develops and organizes national, office, client and practice group substantive legal skills and soft skills programs including supervising content, logistics, materials and communications. Manages multi-day academies and programs. Assists in preparing annual department budget. This position is located in our Minneapolis office and offers a hybrid work schedule.
Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned office and be available for periodic travel.
- Oversee all logistics of Talent Development academies and conservatories, including complex off-site, internal, external and client programs. Ensures excellent program delivery and recordkeeping; and program evaluations and analysis reporting.
- Develop and analyzes department metrics to make recommendations for improving curriculum and programs, as well as incorporates evaluation feedback into updating and redesigning curriculum and programs.
- Collaborate with Training Partners and attorneys across the Transactions vertical to assess development needs and support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of attorney training programs.
- Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of first-year associate technical skills curriculum, learning pathways, and related learning resources.
- Create and manage training materials for in-person programs, academies, conservatories, and virtual curricula, ensuring content is current, practical, and aligned with practice group priorities.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts, Training Partners, and external providers to develop instructional materials, exercises, case studies, and learner resources for transactional attorneys.
- Support the delivery and evaluation of blended learning experiences, including live programs, virtual courses, online resources, and self-paced learning content.
- Identify facilitators and assist internal and external trainers in the development of curricula and training materials.
- Oversee the issuance of CLE credit and compliance-related matters in partnership with the Sr. CLE Specialist.
- Undertake special projects, including market research on talent development best practices and updates to departmental policies, protocols, and procedures; assist in implementing best practices and establishing department standards.
- Draft and develop content for the firm's intranet, website, and promotional materials.
- Act as an ambassador for the Talent Development function both within and outside the firm.
- Participate in activities of external professional organizations and associations as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelors Degree in Organizational Development, Training or similar field.
- 8 years' experience in Professional Development and/or Organizational Development with at least two years in a project lead or supervisory capacity.

Sedentary work:
This is primarily sedentary work, requiring occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects. The role involves sitting for extended periods, with occasional walking and standing, and occasional travel, both domestic and international.
The individual selected for this position may have the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement combining remote and in-office work. The specific arrangement will be determined at the time of hiring and may be modified at the firm's discretion.
