A role within Enterprise Strategy means helping Target define, activate, and advance the enterprise priorities that position the company to grow, remain resilient, and win over time. The Strategy Activation team plays a critical role in turning defined enterprise strategies into coordinated action. We work across leaders, teams, portfolios, and work streams to create clarity, build alignment, accelerate progress, and help the enterprise move from strategic choice to measurable action.
As a Strategy Activation Lead, you will help bring Target’s enterprise strategies to life by enabling the work required to move from choice to progress. You will partner with Enterprise Strategy, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to clarify priorities, shape activation plans, establish operating rhythms, and connect work across the enterprise.
As a Strategy Activation Lead, You Will- Translate enterprise strategies into clear activation plans, including outcomes, work streams, ownership, sequencing, governance, dependencies, and key decisions.
- Bring an objective enterprise perspective to clarify priorities, pressure-test choices, surface trade-offs, and align leaders on the path forward.
- Operate across multiple altitudes, connecting enterprise strategy, portfolio priorities, programs, work streams, stakeholder groups, and decision forums.
- Facilitate cross-functional conversations and working sessions that create clarity, accountability, and momentum.
- Develop executive-ready materials that synthesize inputs, frame decisions, identify risks, and communicate recommendations clearly.
- Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to remove barriers, resolve ambiguity, and accelerate progress on enterprise priorities.
- Enable business teams to own and sustain the work by building clarity, capability, and alignment without creating dependency.

About Us- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in strategy, strategic operations, enterprise planning, consulting, merchandising, supply chain, digital, or a related business field.
- Strong strategic problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous work, synthesize insights, and develop practical recommendations.
- Experience leading or enabling cross-functional priorities, including activation planning, stakeholder alignment, governance, and decision-making.
- Strong facilitation and executive-ready communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and guide productive discussion through ambiguity or tension.
