Manager, Product - Digital

We are seeking a strategic, data-driven Manager of Product to lead Digital Exploration—Thrivent’s digital acquisition and conversion experience across  This product owns a critical part of our growth funnel: turning digital visitors into engaged, qualified prospects by helping them discover Thrivent, understand how we can help, and take the right next step toward connecting with a financial advisor or another best fit Thrivent offer.

This is a digital growth and .com optimization leadership role. The Manager of Product will shape how we continuously improve the prospect journey, from entry and discovery through engagement, qualification, and connection. They will partner closely with design, engineering, research, analytics, marketing, SEO, content, and business teams to identify opportunities, test hypotheses, optimize experiences, and deliver measurable improvements in digital acquisition and conversion.

The ideal candidate brings a proven track record working in the Product Operation Model leading high-traffic consumer digital products, acquisition funnels, or .com experiences, along with experience leading and developing Product Owners. They understand how to use customer behavior, funnel analytics, experimentation, SEO/SEM insights, personalization, and conversion-rate optimization to improve digital journeys and generate high-quality leads and business growth.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have owned measurable digital growth outcomes, such as visitor-to-lead conversion, qualified lead generation, engagement, funnel progression, or digital acquisition performance, and who are comfortable making product decisions through a combination of quantitative data, customer insights, experimentation, and business strategy. Experience in financial services is helpful but not required. More important is demonstrated success building and optimizing sophisticated consumer-facing digital experiences where acquisition, discovery, conversion, and customer trust are critical to business growth.

A Manager of Product is a product leader who manages the product team responsible for one or more complex products. A player-coach role, the Mgr, Product brings together the individual skillsets of a product manager with those of a leader of people. They are responsible for the long-term strategy and vision for a set of products as well as for the performance and growth of the product practitioners on the product team(s) they oversee.

Manager of Product is a critical leadership role for Thrivent’s operating model product teams. They lead product discovery efforts and are accountable for improving the performance of their product over time by overseeing effective delivery of product improvements and successfully marketing and promoting their product with users. They partner effectively with, and provide clarity and inspiration to, other disciplines on their team (business, design, engineering, analytics, etc.)

and lead collaboration efforts with stakeholders from other teams across Thrivent to align on priorities and develop effective solutions to user challenges to optimize the end user experience.

Manager of Product typically will have deep experience as a product manager and aspire to manage both products and people. They play a key role across product stakeholders to actively engage, develop, coach and influence product team operations, practices, and talent. This role typically has direct supervision responsibilities for between 1 and 4 product owners.
