Senior Estimator​/Project Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator / Project Manager to support our heavy civil and highway construction operations from pre-construction through project completion. This role is responsible for developing accurate, competitive bids, managing project execution, supporting field operations, and building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members. We envision this role to be 70% estimating and 30% project management.

• Review and analyze plans, specifications and project documents
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs and verify site conditions as needed
• Solicit, evaluate, and manage subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Prepare and submit bid proposals
• Track bid history, success rates, and estimating data to improve accuracy

• Prepare for and lead pre-construction meetings
• Communicate estimate details, scope, and construction approach to field teams
• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules
• Identify, price, negotiate, and secure approval for change orders and extra work
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering
• 5–10+ years of experience in civil/highway construction estimating and/or project management
• 5 years minimum experience with utilities, grading, roadwork, and infrastructure projects
• Able to promote and enforce a strong culture of safety, quality, and professionalism
• Ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory, and contractual requirements
• Proven ability to manage multiple bids or projects simultaneously

Experience with estimating and project software such as B2W, Bluebeam, AGTEK, HCSS, MS Project, Primavera, OST, or similar tools
