Stonewing Builders is a trusted Twin Cities general contractor focused on small-to-mid-sized public and commercial projects. We are hiring an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to lead bidding, subcontractor coordination, and pricing strategy through clear and steady communication

• Prepare precise cost estimates based on plans, specs, and site requirements
• Solicit, compare, and manage subcontractor and vendor bids
• Review project documents and assist in writing scopes and proposals
• Coordinate with the internal team on bid timelines, logistics, and pricing assumptions
• Use software like Bluebeam, RSMeans, and Procore to streamline bids and pricing records
• Analyze project budgets and timelines; contribute to project strategy and profitability
• Lead post-bid transition and support early-stage cost control during construction

• 3+ years of experience in estimating or project bidding
• Skilled at blueprint reading, trade pricing, and bid analysis
• Proficient in estimating platforms and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communicator with a collaborative approach
• Familiarity with public sector or government projects is strongly preferred
• Hard-working and high-integrity team player
• Starting as hourly, contract-to-hire:
  This position will begin as a W-9 hourly contractor role (rate DOE), with the opportunity to convert to a salaried employee position after a successful performance period
