Assistant Construction Manager – Transmission & Distribution
We are working with a leading employee-owned engineering and construction seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to support the successful delivery of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects across the Transmission & Distribution sector.
In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Site Managers, and Program Managers to assist with the planning, execution, and delivery of complex infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Support the management and execution of EPC and construction management projects.
- Assist with project safety initiatives and ensure compliance with company and client safety standards.
- Coordinate with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Help develop and implement project execution, procurement, quality, staffing, and safety plans.
- Assist with project scheduling, cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, and progress monitoring.
- Participate in project risk assessments and mitigation planning.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years relevant industry experience may be considered in place of a degree.
- Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, cost management, and document control.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using project management, scheduling, or cost control software is advantageous.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced project environment.
