Experienced Airport Construction Inspector

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has an opportunity for an Airport Construction Inspector in Bloomington, MN.

• Assisting field teams with implementation and observation of airport construction projects
• Creating various documentation and reporting for airport related projects
• Interpreting plans, specifications, and navigating digital drawings for airport related projects
• Field testing of construction materials and field measurements of various construction items
• Assisting surveyors as needed
• Other tasks as assigned

A valid driver’s license and frequent travel to job sites will be required.

Option 1:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in construction management, civil engineering, transportation or related field from an accredited college or university
• At least 4 years of relevant construction experience
• At least 4 applicable certifications

Option 2:

• Associate’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, transportation or related field from an accredited college or university
• At least 6 years of relevant construction experience
• At least 4 applicable certifications

Option 3:

• If no degree, must have at least 8 years of relevant construction experience
• At least 4 applicable certifications

• Experience on airport site development
• Experience in construction observation, and documentation
• ASTM standard construction testing procedure experience
• Experience with construction staking, grade measurement, and interpreting plans and specifications
• Experience with MS Office Suite products
• Experience working with State DOT and/or federal agencies such as FAA.
• Experience working with survey equipment such as GPS, Total Station, Lazer Level

Hourly Rate Range: $38.00 to $57.00 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
